Role of Foundation
Collaboration / Feedback / Valuation / Incentivization
GEODNET Foundation is the driving force to cold start the whole ecosystem by providing the stretegic guidence for Tokenomics, mining, software/hardware stack, execution team, etc. It unites miners, end-users, and project developers together to move the project forward. The Foundation is non-profit organization established in Singapure. Its purpose is to promote and deploy the world's largest RTK network for everyone.
Base station miner
The base station miner can acquire the RTCM hardware, set it up in the desired location, stream real-time data to a service provider, and maintain the system. In return, it will get tokens for baseline data and service stream for honest service provided.
Service provider
The service provider gets connected by base stations. It will validate base station miners' streaming data and calculate the reward for each miner connected, and create a location accuracy map.
The service provider also provides quality of service to the end-users. The service provider needs to set up a high-performance server that can handle a high volume of service requests. A typical service provider will be a server accessible by multiple base stations and many end-users.
Open Service model
A typical service provider will be a server accessible by multiple base stations and many end-users. It continuously accepts continuous data streams from base stations. When an end-user requests an RTK service, it will check the best data stream from active base station lists.
